Coal Harbor seeks input on new welcome sign

A northern Vancouver Island community is seeking feedback for a new sign.

According to the Regional District of Mount Waddington, The Coal Harbor Local Community Commission is in the process of creating a new community sign for Coal Harbor and is looking for members of the public to vote on what the sign would say.

The commission has come up with two options for the new sign — Welcome to Coal Harbor – A Whale of a Town and Welcome to Coal Harbor — which members of the public can vote for online.

The deadline for voting is May 2.

Coal Harbor is located roughly 20 kilometers southwest of Port Hardy.
