A road has been closed and a train station is closed in Trafford this morning after a man was found seriously injured ‘in the middle of the road’.
The man was found around 1:15 a.m. on Chassen Road in Flixton after police were called with a “welfare concern.” He was taken to the hospital from the scene.
How he sustained his injuries is being investigated. A drawstring is in place.

The road is closed in both directions between Balmoral Avenue and Shawe Road. Chassen Road railway station is also closed to passengers.
In a tweet, TfGM said: “Road closed. Due to a police incident, Chassen Road, Flixton is closed between Balmoral Avenue and Shawe Road.”
“Chassen Road train station is also closed to passengers due to this incident, see @northernassist for #TfGMTraffic updates.”
Northern tweeted: “Due to a police incident near the railway services are currently unable to call Chassen Road. Due to the location of the incident there is no access to the station, as a result we are unable to provide alternative transport.” “
